Martin F. Savitzky Philadelphia
Martin F. Savitzky has been engaged in the practice of law since 1979 in both the private and corporate sectors. From 1989 until 1998, Mr. Savitzky held the positions of vice president-patents and general counsel-RPR Gencell, with Rhone-Poulenc Rorer (predecessor of Aventis Pharmaceuticals, now sanofi-aventis), a research-based global pharmaceutical company. In these positions, he managed the U.S. and U.K. patent functions and was responsible for providing patent prosecution, patent counseling and studies, and intellectual property litigation management services, as well as general legal service to RPR's corporate and research divisions.
From 1979 to 1989, Mr. Savitzky was an associate and then partner at Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP, where his practice included all aspects of patent, trademark, and copyright litigation; patent prosecution in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology arts; and the negotiation of confidentiality, technology license and litigation settlement agreements.
Mr. Savitzky joined Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP as of counsel in 2000.
