Weiying Yang specializes in intellectual property matters that relate to the chemical arts, including pharmaceutical matters.  Her fields of expertise include organic and inorganic chemistry and polymer sciences. 
 
Prior to joining Synnestvedt & Lechner, Ms. Yang had seven years of industrial experience as a medicinal chemist working for Schering-Plough Research Institute. She is a listed inventor for several Hepatitis C drug applications filed by Schering-Plough Corporation.

Ms. Yang earned her undergraduate degree in applied chemistry from Peking University, People's Republic of China (B.S., 1996) and her graduate degree in organic chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania (M.S., 2000).  She earned her first law degree with specialty in Intellectual Property from Peking University, People's Republic of China (LL.B., 1997) and her J.D. from Rutgers, Newark, School of Law (J.D., 2006).

Ms. Yang is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey. She joined Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP in 2007 as an associate.
