Dr. Rachinsky earned her undergraduate degree in the biological basis of behavior from the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., magna cum laude, 1984). She earned a doctorate in physiology and pharmacology from the University of California, San Diego (Ph.D., 1992) for her thesis on "Molecular Characterization of the Mouse Acetylcholinesterase Gene." She held post-doctoral positions at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and the University of Chicago Medical School, where she received an individual NRSA Postdoctoral Fellowship in 1993. She received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania (J.D., 1999). Dr. Rachinsky has authored and co-authored a number of scientific articles, including those published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, Journal of Comparative Neurology, Neuron, and Genomics. Dr. Rachinsky is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and in the state of New Jersey. Prior to joining Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP, Dr. Rachinsky practiced as an intellectual property attorney in the corporate and private sectors. Dr. Rachinsky joined Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP in 2007.
