Robert N. Henrie II, PhD, specializes in patents involving inventions in the chemical and pharmaceutical fields.

Dr. Henrie earned combined bachelors and masters degrees from Bucknell University (BS, 1974, cum laude; MS, 1975).  He earned a PhD in chemistry from Princeton University in 1979.  Thereafter he worked as a postdoctoral associate at the Agricultural University, Wageningen, the Netherlands (1979) studying macroheterocycle synthesis, which was followed by a postdoctoral appointment at Penn State University (1980-1982), where he studied biological chemistry.

Dr. Henrie worked as a Discovery Chemist at FMC Corporation, Princeton, NJ, for 24 years (1983-2006), where he lead discovery programs in plant growth regulators, herbicides, and insecticides, involving various enzyme, receptor, and ion channel target sites.  His work resulted in 30 patents.

Dr. Henrie is licensed to practice before the USPTO.  He joined Synnestvedt & Lechner LLP in 2007 as a patent agent.
