Joseph D. Rossi specializes in intellectual property matters that relate to the chemical and pharmaceutical arts, including patent prosecution, validity and infringement studies, and counseling. He also has extensive experience in the litigation of intellectual property rights. His technical fields of expertise include organic chemistry and polymer sciences. While working in the chemical industry, Mr. Rossi gained extensive experience in product development in specialty chemicals including coatings, lubricants, cleaners, polymeric dispersants, and foams. Mr. Rossi earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in chemistry at St. Joseph's University (B.S. 1989, M.S. 1992). He earned his law degree from Temple University School of Law (J.D. 1999). Mr. Rossi is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association and the Benjamin Franklin American Inn of Court. Prior to joining Synnestvedt & Lechner, Mr. Rossi had seven years of law firm experience in the practice of intellectual property law. Mr. Rossi joined Synnestvedt & Lechner in 2004 as an associate and became partner in 2006.
