Frank T. Carroll has extensive experience in procuring domestic and international patents in the fields of consumer electronics, electro-optics, food and beverage packaging, medical devices, aerospace engineering, data storage and processing, automotive engineering, food processing, and structural engineering.  Mr. Carroll is familiar with all aspects of patent prosecution, including reexamination, interference, and appellate proceedings.  He also counsels small and mid-sized companies and large multi-national corporations in the development of U.S. and international patent procurement and enforcement strategies
 
Mr. Carroll earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Rutgers University College of Engineering in 1984.  From 1984 to 1998, He worked as an aerospace engineer for the Department of the Navy.  His responsibilities included formulating and overseeing test programs to develop and qualify gas turbine engines for various military and civilian aircraft.  He earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden in 1998, with high honors. 

Mr. Carroll is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. He is a member of the Philadelphia Intellectual Property Law Association and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. 

Prior to joining Synnestvedt & Lechner in 2007, Mr. Carroll practiced at the law firm of Woodcock Washburn in Philadelphia.
